Kentallen Farm Cottages
All our properties are tastefully furnished and all have colour T.V. Bed linen is provided with duvets and extra blankets. Electricity for water heating and lighting is by £1 coin meter and the optional oil fired central heating in Byre and Stable Cottages and also the Farm House is charged by flow meter. Each property is kept to a high standard and checked for cleanliness prior to your arrival. The water supply is from our own private spring. Please note that we supply tea towels, but not bath and hand towels.
Well behaved pets may accompany visitors to Kentallen, but we do ask that
they are kept off beds and other furniture out of respect
for other guests. In each property there is an information pack, which contains details of things to do and see, and we are happy to help arrange any specific visits or activities, such as wildlife safaris, whale watching, sailing/boating etc.
Out of respect for other guests, we now have a no smoking policy in relation to the inside of the properties.
The properties are secluded but not remote, being about three miles from the village of Salen, with petrol station, shopping facilities and pub. Tobermory (where the TV program Ballamory is filmed) with its famous yachting harbour and delightful sea-front is six miles north, and has an excellent range of shops and restaurants etc., including a tourist information office (telephone 01688 302182). Mull has the easiest access of the Hebridean Islands, with car ferries operating from Oban (40 minute crossing time) and Lochaline (15 minute crossing time). For information on crossings and ferry timetables you can telephone us, or speak to Caledonian MacBrayne on 01475 650000, and off course we can advise on most economical routes to take if you are unsure.

Bothy Cottage
Is an open-plan studio apartment, which sleeps two people. It has a kitchen/diner with a bed/sitting room containing twin beds. The bathroom has a bath, washbasin and w.c. Room and water heating is by electricity. The Bothy has sea views from two windows. Watch the wide variety of bird life and maybe an otter from your windows.

Stable Cottage
An outstanding cottage, which sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Stable has its own walled garden, which makes it ideal for those with young children. The double room and the twin bedded rooms on the first floor have en-suite shower rooms and are tastefully furnished, as is the twin bedroom on the ground floor, which is adjacent to the downstairs bathroom.

Also on the ground floor is the kitchen with a spacious dining area. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, dish washer, electric hob and oven etc. The living room has an open fire and a conservatory/sun room from which Ardnamurchan (the most westerly point of mainland Britain) can be seen. The cottage is heated by oil central heating.

Byre Cottage
A ground floor cottage which sleeps eight people (six adults and two youngsters). A large kitchen with automatic washing machine and tumble dryer, electric hob and oven, refrigerator etc., leads to a living room/dining area with colour TV. The bathroom has an electric shower, wash hand basin and w.c. Byre has two double bedrooms, and twin bedroom with an additionqal bunk bed suitable for youngsters. Byre has the benefit of optional oil fired central heating, which is charged by oil flow meter.

Farm House
Situated in a unique position with outstanding views, as you would expect with a property of this standard and which sleeps nine people. The fully fitted kitchen has granite worktops, a four oven oil fired Aga as well as electric hob, grill, deep fat fryer, microwave, pressure cooker, dishwasher etc. The dining area has masses of window giving superb views to Ardnamurchan.

The sitting room has a conservatory and the views have been described as stunning. The main bedroom has a double bed and its own en-suite with bath and shower. Also on the first floor there are two twin bedded rooms and a fourth bedroom with a single bed and another bathroom with shower.

Downstairs on the ground floor there is another twin bedded room and also a separate shower room with W.C., making it ideal for elderly relatives who do not want the hassle of going upstairs.

The Log Cabin
This luxury 4 bedroom log cabin is situated on the shore line with magnificent views. It will be available from Spring 2008 and early booking is recommended. |
